Oil painter: Donatella mainly paints in oils, with a representational, approachable style.
Her art studies took place in Italy, where she was born and raised: architectural and classical drawing in dry media, then in oils, through private instruction.
She was influenced through her training by the later generation of Impressionists and Colorists of the Lombard School, which reflects in her style of painting.
Donatella pursued continuing art education in both New Jersey (MCAA) and Massachusetts (Cambridge Studio School)
In her own words: “In my paintings, I strive to capture the beauty and energy of nature, or the personality traits I perceive in a model, and to convey the emotion they elicit in me. It is a joy for me to share it with viewers.”
